About the Comics

David Balagizi

David Balagizi is a 22-year-old comic who lights an audience with his crowd work, African upbringing, and also his weird observations. Off the stage, he’s amassed an amazing 900k following on Tiktok/Instagram!

Mike Brown (official site), aka OlmikeB, first felt the nudge toward comedy in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia. After serving in the United States Army for nine years as a soldier, he started hosting shows throughout the DC area. He launched his production company, OMBvision, in 2011, and he was a regular writer for "Da Jae Spot" and the locally produced “The Tommy Taylor Show". Mike won Comedy Kumite 20.1 (spring 2019) at the DC Improv.

Rebecka Green

Rebecka Green moved to the DMV in 2021 from rural Iowa with the public intention of wanting to live in a big city, and with the quiet intention of pursuing standup comedy. After a year of attending local shows and plowing through comedy podcasts, she took up the mic herself, and began appearing regularly on some of the city’s best-known stages within a short time. As the Midwest-grown daughter of a Swedish computer scientist and a religion scholar from Alabama, her on-stage presence is a distinctive combination of disarming Midwestern and dry Scandinavian humor, and her material focuses on all things family, religion, city life shenanigans, and pop culture.

Jack Schwartz

Jack J. Schwartz is a former paramedic turned stand-up comedian in Washington DC. Raised by a single mother in the cultural melting pot of Tampa Florida, Jack attributes his odd yet hilarious brand of comedic storytelling to his wacky upbringing in the sunshine state. You can learn more about Jack on his podcast @ShrimpandGritsPod.

Clarence Nixon

Clarence Nixon was born and raised in Washington, DC. He’s an example of what happens when introversion meets stand-up comedy. His perspective on everyday life situations become jokes, as he looks to adjust the world one laugh at a time.

Owen Vacheron

Originally from Massachusetts, Owen Vacheron is a stand up comedian based in Washington DC. He received a degree in history but immediately threw that in the trash to pursue stand up comedy after college. Now you can see him telling his little jokes on stages all around the DMV and beyond. He is happy to be here and wants to be your friend.
