About the Comics

Nelson Fuentes

Nelson Fuentes is a local dc native comic who speaks about his upbringings in the DMV as one of the tallest half-Salvadorean half-Guatemalan Latinos there is. He enjoys making people laugh about his and their day-to-day lifestyles and his background.

Joe Pappalardo

Joe Pappalardo was a finalist in the 2022 Funniest Person in Cincinnati contest at his home club, Go Bananas. He has also told jokes at hookah lounges, school fundraisers, and church festivals. He performs regularly at The Port Comedy Club in Baltimore, and frequents local comedy clubs and shows around DC.

Nathan Luft

Nathan Luft has performed at bars and basements both full and empty all across the DMV. If you like any of his jokes feel free to tell them to your friends and pretend they’re your own -- but Venmo donations are appreciated. Stand up grad school isn’t cheap! He is honored to be performing at the Improv and dreams of the day you see him on the street and say “aren’t you that one guy from that one thing?"

Nikki Knowles

Nikkie Knowles, a DMV based comic, is making waves in the comedy industry. Her humor is inspired by her unique experiences as a mother of five boys and a military wife. She began her comedy journey by participating in the Armed Services Arts Partnership's Comedy Bootcamp, a program that provides veterans and their families an opportunity to learn the art of standup comedy. Nikkie has graced the stage at various festivals and clubs across the eastern coast, including the Kennedy Center and Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest. Her win as Magooby's Comedian of the Year 2021 marked a historic moment as she became the first woman to achieve this feat.
